What we do
At Inverness Computer Centre we offer sales, service and backup support services for all leading brands of computer hardware/software and associated products.
Our Showroom and Workshop ( Greig Street, Inverness ) is open Monday to Friday, 9 am -6 pm ( Other times by special arrangement).
Our showroom has extensive stocks of various computer hardware/ software and consumables, from leading brands such as Intel, Epson, Toshiba /Dynabook, Lenovo D-link, Samsung, Hewlett Packard, Oki, Microsoft, Sage, Kingston, Draytec and many others.
Our Technical Service department offers many and varied services in our workshop and at our customer’s premises, Monday to Friday, 9 am – 6 pm.
Technical Services include service, repair, upgrades to Laptops, desktops, and server computers. Help and assistance for software upgrades, virus & security issues.
History
Inverness Computer Centre, Greig Street, Inverness ( ICC ) established in 1986 by Robert McKendrick ( then aged 16 )
ICC Started business in Mealmarket Close, Inverness in 1986, then moving into The Victorian Market for 2 years then moving to larger premises in the Victorian Market and later into the first computer superstore in the highlands in Church Street for a period of 5 Years. ICC then made changes in the company direction away from the High Street mass market products to today’s more specialist needs. This is the Market which we now serve / service.
Our Main Aim is to Supply / Service / Specify computer systems / services / products to our Local Market. To service Private Individuals, educational home users small/medium business and Multi-national Companies with many customers from Government Bodies.
We aim to find out what our potential customers actual needs are, not what the salesman or the internet wants to sell them. Demonstrate this to the customer and then customise our hardware to match their requirements. The beauty of this is that if and when their needs change, we can upgrade the computer systems to suit.
ICC where possible deliver new computer systems.
We custom build Servers and Workstations to suit all needs.
We are main agents of Toshiba / Dynabook and Lenovo Laptop products, we carry a comprehensive stock of portable computers, spare items such as power supply’s replacement screens memory etc.
The Computer Doctor
ICC offers a full range of Backup services be it on-site or in our workshops in Greig Street we can offer a full range of Backup LOCALLY for your systems. Services such as Internet/network set-up, remote working, VPN / Virus Protection – removal Computer system upgrades + software issues.
